Pyhäinpäivän ja pimenevien iltojen kunniaksi vietetään Pimeä-ARXantaita. Tapahtuma kuuluu Mystinen Hämeenlinna -teemaviikkoihin, joiden aikana loppusyksyn illoissa pimeys tihenee ja historiallisen kaupungin menneisyyden tarinat heräävät henkiin.
Tapahtuma sijoittuu Verkatehtaan Werkkiin, Verkatehtaankujalle ja Galleria ARXiin.
Werkissä on työpajalandia, missä tehdään ötököitä yhteisötaideteosta varten. Teos rakentuu näkyväksi Werkin seinille. Perheen pienimmät voivat tutkia työpajalandian valolaareja. Hämärässä noidan keittiössä tutustutaan ällöttäviin keitoksiin ja purkkeihin. Keittiön yhteydessä on teeman mukainen kuvauspiste.
Galleria ARXissa tutustutaan taskulampun valossa pimennettyyn Tuntu-näyttelyyn. Kujalta löytyy koko perheen omatoiminen pimeäsuunnistus, jossa selvitetään salaperäinen koodi. Lisäksi kujalla nähdään Tanssiva Kurpitsa apureineen klo 18:00 ja 19:30. Kujalla ja Werkissä seikkailee toinen toistaan oudompia hahmoja. Löydätkö keimailevan korpin, pimeän ratsastajan tai kaksipäisen toukan?
Suosittelemme pukeutumista naamiaisasuun, sen pääsee ikuistamaan kuvauspisteellä. Verkatehtaan aulasta löytyvä Ravintola Verkatehtaan kahvila on auki tapahtuman ajan.
ARXantait ovat maksuttomia koko perheen Lasten lauantai -tapahtumia. ARXantaiden ohjelma rakentuu teemanmukaisista työpajoista, näyttelyistä, esityksistä ja konserteista. Ohjelma soveltuu pienille ja isoille, aikuisia unohtamatta. ARXantaiden tuotannosta vastaa Kulttuurikeskus ARX.
Valon tuolla puolen on näyttely Anna Hyrkkäsen taideteoksista, joita täydentävät toiminnalliset pisteet.
Galleria ARX, Viipurintie 4, 13200 Hämeenlinna
Sisältö on maksuton.

During the workshops, children and their accompanying adults will design and create their own lantern characters together. Two free, all-ages workshops will be offered during the day.
The Light Caravan workshops are led by ARX art educators.
The workshops will be held at the Aimokoulu facilities in the Opistotalo building at Verkatehdas on Saturday, October 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please make a separate reservation for each participating child. The accompanying adult is automatically included in the child’s registration.
On All Saint’s day Pimeä-ARXantai will be organized inspired by the darkening evenings. The event is a part of the Mystinen Hämeenlinna (Mysterious Hämeenlinna) themed weeks. During those weeks the autumn evenings darkens and stories of the past are brought to life.
The event will take place in Verkatehdas Werkki, Verkatehtaankuja-alley and Gallery ARX.
At werkki will be a big workshop area, where you can make insects for a community art work. The work can be seen at the Werkki walls. The smallest visitors can inspect the light bins in the workshop space. In the dusky witch’s kitchen you can explore disgusting concoctions and jars. In connection with the kitchen there will be a photography set up, where you can take pictures that goes with the witch kitchen theme. At the children’s disco a dj will play dancing music, and dance moves will be displayed on the monitors. For the boldest children we recommend the ghost stories, that are K7, so not for children younger than seven years.
At Gallery ARX the darkened Tuntu-exhibition can be explored with flashlights. In the alley the whole family can together can follow the dark orientation, where a mysterious code can be solved. Furthermore the Dancing pumpkin will perform at 6PM and 7:30PM in the alley. In the alley and in Werkki you can found other special characters. Can you find the coquette raven, the dark rider or the two-headed caterpillar?
We recommend dressing up, in which you can photograph yourself at the photography set. Verkatehdas café will be open at the entrance of the Verkatehdas main hall.
